A Nice Day at Camp 3

They had a great day up at 14,200 ft relaxing and goofing off. They went for a hike out to a place called "the edge of the world" where they got spectacular views looking down the lower Kahiltna glacier almost 7000 ft below them. They are all doing great up there and sounds like they are enjoying themselves.

I did have to give Karen the bad news that Germany lost in World Cup play today... I'm sure she'll be OK.

Here's Jack with today's podcast.

yesterday cam and I were down on the beach and got burnt to smitherenes. im honestly a lobster. work has been half days all week so far. we have been getting sent home because it is so hot in sarnia right now. I have been taking good care of the dogs and the house while you have been gone. I am with Cam and Nichole right now and they both wish you the best of luck on the rest of your journey. Debbie bought a cool new toy(Roomba), it supposibly cleans the house. not sure yet if it works or not. well cam and I are off to go get our boating licence's right now.

  2. Don't know if these messages reach the climbers or no: But just in case I want to report that I JUST missed your call, Ben! I will have my phone with me at work tomorrow and will keep it with me afterwards so if you had time I'd love to hear how you're doing.

    love you!

  3. hey dad, it's Spence, I hope your having a great time!

I am really missing you. A lot has happened since you have gone. I volunteered at a drama camp, I went to Toronto, and I cut my hair off. I now have short hair and I love it way better then my old hair. I spent 300 dollars in Toronto on important things! Next time mention the kids, don't just say "and the kids" Loved to here your voice, cannot wait to see you when you come home!

    Love,

    Spencer Mellon
